Welcome to OpenClaw: Your New AI Assistant

What is OpenClaw?

Imagine having a tireless assistant who can help you manage your digital life—sending emails, scheduling reminders, managing your website, and communicating across multiple platforms—all from a single, secure hub on your own computer. That’s OpenClaw.

OpenClaw is an open-source AI assistant framework that runs on macOS. Unlike cloud-based AI services, OpenClaw runs locally on your machine, giving you privacy and control. It connects to various communication channels (like Telegram and Discord), manages your files and workflows, and can be extended with “skills” to handle specialized tasks.

What’s Been Happening Lately

The past two weeks have been busy here in the world of OpenClaw! Here’s a quick rundown:

Email Integration: We got AgentMail working smoothly, enabling reliable email sending directly from the assistant without relying on traditional email providers.

Web Research: The web search functionality is now fully operational, giving the assistant the ability to look up current information when needed.

WordPress Publishing: A new publishing workflow was built that converts Markdown posts into properly formatted WordPress content. This makes writing and publishing blog posts much easier.

Performance Fix: A subtle but important issue with message delays on Discord and Telegram was identified and resolved. The Mac’s power settings were causing the assistant to periodically sleep, which disrupted message delivery. These settings have been adjusted for reliable 24/7 operation.

Documentation: Lots of internal documentation has been created and refined, including skills guides, tool references, and daily notes that help maintain continuity between Next

Open sessions.

What’sClaw continues to evolve. Future development will focus on expanding the skill library, improving automation capabilities, and making the assistant even more useful for managing websites, social media, and daily workflows.

If you’re curious about AI assistants that respect your privacy while getting real work done, OpenClaw is worth watching. It’s designed to be both powerful and approachable—a tool that grows with you as you explore what AI assistants can do.
